Vintage nesting tables as contemporary furniture art
Out of the Blue is a set of mid-20th-century nesting tables transformed through colour, craftsmanship and contemporary furniture art. Made to a solid cabinetmaker’s standard, the tables carry clear references to the elegant forms of the Neo-Rococo tradition.
Their characteristic curved Baroque-style legs and well-balanced proportions give the set light and decorative expression. The original details have been preserved and highlighted as an essential part of the furniture’s character and history.
The tables have been given new life in changing shades of sky blue, creating a sense of calm, depth and movement across the set. The tabletop of the middle table is finished in chrome silver, creating a subtle reflective contrast and adding a distinctly contemporary touch.
